Starfleet Combat Medicine Manual

Historically in warfare, the majority of all combat deaths have occurred prior to a casualty ever receiving advanced trauma management.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Starfleet Medical Officer, whether in the role of a Combat Medic, or an Operating Theatre Officer is to provide medical care and training in accordance with the tenets of Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Tactical Medical Emergency Protocols, and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support; in order to provide optimal health care to a Joint Special Operations Task Force conducting missions in support of Starfleet policies and objectives.
