Miri system

Revision as of 15:55, 11 April 2008 by Salak (talk | contribs)

Partly due to the negative conditions encountered during the first contact with this human colony and certain problems plagueing the records department for deep space records all the original information for this system was incorrectly filed under Ophiucus 70 system which is on the other side of Sol from the true location of the Miri system.

  • Miri star system is located in the Trinity Sector. This space sector is divided almost equally between the Federation, Klingon and Romulan Empires. Ophiucus is approximately 4 lightyears from Starbase 118 in the direction of Epsilon Outpost #11. Of the 2 star systems virtually side by side it is the one closest to Starbase 118.

Miri II

  • it's orbit is approximately 62 million km from it's star
  • a rock ball planet with a diameter of 8,525 km (5,328 miles).
  • a density of 4.3
  • a gravity of 0.52 G's
  • no atmosphere
  • it has 1 tiny moon and 2 medium moons

Miri III

  • it's orbit is approximately 112 million km from it's star
  • a hostile greenhouse planet with a diameter of 11,109 km (6,943 miles).
  • a density of 5.1

  • an atmosphere made up primarily of carbon oxides
  • it has 4 tiny moons and 1 large moon

Miri IV

  • it's orbit is approximately 149 million km from it's star
  • a earth like planet with a diameter of 12,664 km (7,915 miles).
  • a density of 5.5
  • a gravity of 0.1 G's
  • an earth like atmosphere with a pressure of about 1.0 earth normal, with nitrogen 72%, oxygen 23% and other gases 3%
  • it has an axial tilt of 23% that results in earth like seasonal variations
  • temperatures and environmental conditions are extremely earth like
  • surface water over 76% of the planets surface with 69% of that being salt water oceans
  • with a year of 365 days, each day is 24 hours long
  • it has 1 medium moon
  • it has a human population of 500,000
