Nadeshiko is an android built by the Epsilon Program during the program’s changeover to producing AIs for ships. As one of the newer Luna class ships, the Doyle was a target of the deployment, but for various reasons, it was not approved. It was decided that instead, they would produce an android with a lot of the intended characteristics of the AI to demonstrate the basic reliability and safeguards within the AI. Designed by Kaname Nakamura, she was then assigned to the Doyle-A as a scientific attache.
