Backstory/Timeline
Born on Trill in the planetary capital of Leran Manev his father worked as an attache for Trill Diplomats so he didn't spend much time on Trill. His mother worked as a nurse in the capital hospital so growing up he spent most of his childhood with his grandfather. His grandfather worked for the Trill Ministry of Defence at a data processing facility for over 40years.
Thayon wasn't exceptional by any standards but he wasn't a failure. Heist excel in any subjects but not failed anything. His teachers referred to him as very well rounded student. His father received a posting to Earth along with newly assigned Trill diplomat so they all moved to Earth when Thayon was 15. His sister remained on Trill to continue with her work with the symbiot commission. Although encourage by both his father and mother to join Starfleet he wasn't really going to until he received news about his grandfather's death, he decided to honour his memory and become a better person.
During his time at the academy his balance came as a disadvantage whilst must students were finding those subject they performed excellent in, he didn't stand out in anything. The only thing that he had that seemed to set him apart in uniqueness was he ability to 'read' people and pick up on the cues that's what made him interested in the mind.
