Creating a basic bio is quick and easy to do! Wherever you see brackets below, just add in the text you need, replacing things like 'your name' or 'your ship' with the relevant information inside the coding provided, or follow the instructions given - then delete the brackets and any instructions inside them! Once you're done, you'll have a bare bones bio that you can build on using the FBC tutorials, getting tips from other people's bios or adding your own ideas! Click "edit" to get started! Good luck and enjoy!

Personal Details

  • Height: 5'6"
  • Weight: 110 Pounds
  • Hair: Black (Short in an Asymmetrical Cut)
  • Eyes: Black
  • Build: Slender
  • Telepathy Rating: T5
  • Handedness: Left

Avarin is slender and generally underweight for her height. She moves with a sort of economical grace that speaks of early training in Suus Mahna, strictly for defense, and Sha'mura, for the mental and physical discipline. Her hair is black, straight, and cut in an asymmetrical haircut (right side extends to below the jaw while the left side is shorter and tucked behind her ear). Her black eyes have an epicanthic fold and seem to dominate her face. She moves with a sort of economical grace owing to years of martial arts training. Her hands are slender and well-formed though slightly cool to the touch since her Vulcan physiology finds the temperature aboard most Federation vessels and in Federation stations to be somewhat chill.

Relationships

Whom does your character get on with or not get on with? For now, pick one member of your current crew and enter their name below, then describe the nature of your character's relationship with them.

(Background/Personality/Career History)

In the coding above, delete two of the headings so that only one remains. You can then type here as if you were writing on notepad to drop in some information about your character. If you want to use bullets, copy and paste the star above. You can also look on the forums and the wiki for tutorials on how to use more adventurous coding. Want to include sections for Background, Personality AND Career History? Just copy the code for the title bar above, then paste it in type in the title you want - you can add extra sections in too!

(Background

Avarin was born in ShiKahr, a desert city located on the edge of Vulcan's Forge. As a child, she learned to dance and was introduced to the Pleenok. Her teachers noted her aptitude for mathematics and interest in technology and steered her studies accordingly. While Avarin embraced the discipline of logic, it was discovered that detachment of emotion proved more difficult for her.

From the outset, it was clear that Avarin had a good mind but did not easily accept traditional views. She wears her hair in a short, assymetrical haircut and sits in ways that are comfortable to her. During her early education, her teachers on Vulcan noted time and again that she betrays her emotions through microexpressions. For the most part, she has schooled her face to neutrality. She relies on time spent alone for meditation and reflection. Her parents and older brother encouraged her studies at the ShirKar Academy. There was some debate at the start of her last year when Sevel and Avarin announced their intention of entering Starfleet since the family had collectively assumed the couple would remain on Vulcan. A shuttle accident shortly after graduation claimed Sevel's life. While Avarin recouperated, she decided to continue on the path they had chosen together. She would join Starfleet.

The Academy was Avarin's first exposure to other lifeforms and cultures and she found it all entirely fascinating though the lack of privacy for meditation proved to be a hardship. She observed emotional explosions, laughter, and close contact among her classmates and saw first-hand how, for some races, detachment was completely unnecessary. She studies other philosphies and lifestyles, draws information from them, as though putting together pieces of a large puzzle. But to her, the quiet of engineering, moving through Jeffries tubes, solving the puzzles her instructors placed before her was the life she chose for herself. And if she betrayed frustration by a slight furrow of her brow, the walls of the ship were silent witnesses.

Service History

Below you'll see a table which contains images for rank pips - you can change the word 'Gold' for 'Red' or 'Teal' or one of the other colors listed earlier to match your duty post. Again, not all ranks are available in all colors and/or pipstyles. You can change pips from the default to a different style such as DS9, STO, or Slanted by adding DS9, STO, or Slanted after the color.

To end your bio, we're going to drop in some code here for your ship's crew template, which should appear at the bottom of your bio and will help members of the fleet easily browse other bios of your shipmates. Change the name of the ship below to whatever the name of your character's ship is, unless of course you've been assigned to the USS Gemini! Don't forget the letter suffix for your ship if yours has one (such as the USS Darwin-A).
