Starfleet Medical Academy is the medical and health-related school associated with Starfleet Medical and Starfleet Academy. In addition to educating medical officers, nurses, dentists, and other allied health professionals, Starfleet Medical Academy also participates in medical research in collaboration with Starfleet Academy's Science Department.
Note: While counselors are mental health specialists who work closely with psychiatrists and other health professionals, cadets wishing to become counselors earn degrees offered by the Department of Psychology within the Division of Arts & Sciences.
