You can help 118Wiki by expanding it. Katarus, also known as Ktaria V or Ktaris II, is the second homeworld of the Ktarian species. An M class planet, it is the fifth planet of the Ktaria star system. It and it's sister planet Ktaris are members of the United Federation of Planets. It's believed that a large group of Ktarians migrated to Katarus in the 2100s when scientific expeditions found the planet viable to sustain Ktarians life, dubbing it initially as Ktaris II, in recognition of it's being their second homeworld. The name was eventually changed to Katarus after first contact with Starfleet. Native to Katarus evolved to exhibit different cranial features to their Ktaris counterparts, with small spikes rising from their foreheads. Katarus was known for its jungles.
