Skiff

Skiffs are antigrav utility vehicles designed for the transportation of beings or cargo. Skiffs also include loading ramps and an electromagnet for ease of cargo transfer. They are controlled by two, dish-like vanes on the stern of the craft.

These craft can carry 100 tons of cargo and travel at a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour, 50 meters off the ground, even when fully loaded. However, skiffs are difficult to maneuver, so only the most reckless of pilots dare to reach such a high speed.

Skiffs are often used as passenger transports on poor or underdeveloped planets, where they are refitted with passenger seating and used as airbuses.

Several military agencies, including the Valcarian Empire use skiffs as troop transports, supplementing armies where military-grade vehicles are in short supply. Blaster cannons are bolted to the front and side railings, and the hull is reinforced to add to the protection of the troops riding within.
