Lt Blue Pips
Hi Toni, the Lt. JG blue pips image is used as a standard in more than just the USS Challenger's duty roster. Modifying it's size effects the sizing on numerous pages. I've uploaded a new file to fix the problem. In the future the standard for the USS Challenger's duty roster is 'C' in front of the image name because of their different sizes. -Sirkit
Where can I find the list of pip files that you have already uploaded to be able to use them?
I've created a category for the Challenger sized pips images, I've also uploaded all possible starfleet pips (standard not dress) so you can link to them appropriatly. The names are now also standardized so they are all C(color)-(rank).jpg for easier navagation. TO acess the category just click on one of the challenger pips images and then click on the category. -Sirkit
Correct Name
Just a note, I moved your page to Turner, Toni. Primary characters have their last name first when we put them on a wiki page, so we can find them easier. Also fixed the link on the Embassy crew history page. --Wolf 12:17, 30 Oct 2005 (CST)
Laudean Characters
Toni, I have removed the Laudean characters you added to the Non-Laudean NPC listing for the Embassy for that obvious reason. Additionally, you already have them listed in the Laudean Characters area, which is where they should be. However, I think that we could rearrange the structure of the Laudean Character page to look more like the Non-L NPC page. Please don't be offended. I'm just trying to keep things "flowy". --Varaan 13:41, 15 DEC 2005 (EST)
Laudean Currency
Toni, see if you can find the actual sim that the blits conversion was done in. It wasn't #114, that was a birthing sim (that I added as an example to the birthing section of the customs page). Let me know what you find out, and I'll add it as an example to the currency section. --Varaan 16:50, 19 DEC 2005 (EST)
Embassy Sickbay
Toni, I changed "sickbay", which is the term used on a vessel, to "infirmary", which is the term used for an installation, seeing as how the Embassy is an installation. Don't worry about changing the name of the pic, though. --Varaan 21:09, 10 JAN 2006 (EST)
Embassy Engineering
Hi Varaan, I was helping Brell because he made the graphic for his office much too big (see engineering) anyway, I fixed it for him and made it a gif file and much smaller. Now, I need to know how to delete the big jpg file he uploaded.
Challenger NPCs
I've renamed the NPC list pages... The format I've changed it to Challenger <insert department name here> NPCs, e.g. CIVILIANS moved to Challenger Civilian NPCs I've done this as the page names you used made no reference to the ship name so I thought these new names would be a lot clearer. Hope you don't mind. - Jay 17:33, 17 February 2006 (CST)
- No, I don't mind, just as long as they can find them. I will be updating the USS Walton with the same lists too, so I will set it up as you have them.
Turner's Pregnancy
Toni, this thing with the lomales and procreation as it relates to Laudeans is pretty necessary. HOWEVER, the thing about the lomales being the source of the Fielding isn't necessary, just a fairly important societal story arc. It could get changed though, but I think that the sim with Paetra and you could still work out. The question would be if you planned on delivering a Fielding capable half-breed. I don't know if you've thought that far ahead, but I have some ideas on how this could continue.
Laudean-nonLaudean crossbreeding hasn't been tried successfully before for whatever reason. Toni is the first suitable candidate. Great, so far no problem. The declining Laudean population (and hence need for "fresh breeding stock") story still works due to lack of lomales globally. Great, still no problem. If the Upper echelon of the Coven knows that the lomales are the source of the Fielding, then you can still be an experiment for them. Lomales must be used for a female Laudean's egg to be made fertile. No so with Humans. And so the enzyme isn't needed to break down the egg membrane either. Hence, you're pregnant. What the Coven don't know is in which instance the lomale is necessary to pass on the Fielding. Perhaps they are using you and your future child as a baseline. Future impregnations will be assisted by a lomale in different instances to figure out how to get the Fielding passed on, if possible. Maybe you might be attacked again, or some other woman might be.
Is any of this making sense to you? Could any of this work? I hope so, 'cause all this stuff was in the workings before your Paetra incident, and I'd hate to have to scrap all the society stuff we've come up with and start over. Let me know if we could use any of this. Thanks. -Varaan, 21 MAR 2006, 11:57 EST
It could still work if for some reason certain Terran women have the same enzyme as the Lomale. What I am thinking is... in the South (Georgia and South Carolina) red clay is dominate in our soil. Perhaps, Terrans from that region assimulate the enzyne from the unique clay thus making it possible to bare a fielding child. What do you think?
Why does it matter that the child can field.
This has been something we've been discussing on the forums for a long long time now. I think you might have to just live with this one. I don't really like that Rocar is negotiating from a disadvantage because the Federation had close ties to the former royal government. However, that was the established backstory so its something I have to run with.
