History
At this time almost nothing is known of the history of this race. What little is known starts off about 50 years prior to their haveing contact with the Dahri and eventually being offered membership in the FTU.
The early records show that they had superior technology and prefered not to have aliens set foot on their planet. While they could not prevent it at that time things quickly changed. In less than 10 years they had built and constructed the nessassary facilities to launch into space a large and complex defensive satallite system. They also added communications, weather, scanning and jamming satallites to their planetary defense as well. On top of this they were able to construct and put into service a gigantic starbase. The largest one of any of the FTU member races.
Natives
All Prantis enter the cities to learn and attend one of the many training facilities. Those that are found to be good enough are rewarded with jobs in the city. All the rest either find jobs off world or return to the jungles to work at food gathering. Even those Prantis who are not good enough to get jobs in the city are for the most part superior engineers, scientists and craftsmen to those found off world.
Government
The Prantis have a central government which is made up of the most brilliant members of their society. As a race they work together in harmony. In fact the central government is run very much like a huge company. This government is in the capitol city of Ya'Th'iss.
All the occupants of the city are emplyed by the government and they can work their way up the ladder of success until they eventually gain a position of importantance. Maybe even that of CEO of the planet.
Smaller cities have their own CEO or Mayor but anyone can transfer from one city to another as long as their is a position waiting for them.
Environment
It is hot jungle planet with large growths of massive exotic plant life. The moist air is refreashed by daily torrential rains. Small flying insects and other small creatures frolic in the deep green, at home with the constant smell. About 2/3's of the planet is jungle, the other 1/3 is made up of deep lakes and rivers.
Animals
They have a very wide and diverse animal kingdom with thousands of different breeds of bird, lizards, insects and animal lifeforms. The lakes and rivers are also teeming with many varieties of fish and other water based life forms.
Economy
Of all the members of the FTU the Prantis have the best economy. Their technical products are in high demand. So are their engineers and technicians. They import very little as their world produces over 90% of the raw materials they need and easily supplies all the food they need plus lots left over for trade off world.
Population
Their is an estimated 7 billion living on world. It is unknown how many are liveing off world.
Communities
Their is only 1 major city on the planet, that is the capitol Ya'Th'iss built into the one and only mountain on the planet. The mountain is actually an artificial construct built by the natives. It is so big that it can be seen from space. Here, under the ground, they have built their civilization.
Their are however a large number of smaller cities that have been built as well. Most of these are underground.
