History Barbee was a gymnist and athlete who soon grew bored with the challenges of organized competitions. A friend who was also a competitor was killed in a freak accident while competeing. While part of her grieved over his loss, the other part realized that was what she had been missing. She then studied a number of hand to hand combat styles, met and became a operative of the Orion Syndicates, but never a member.
