The Cart'hen star is a White Dwarf with a stellar mass of about 0.8
Any orbital bodies within 1 AU (astronomical unit = 93 million miles = distance between Earth and its sun) were destroyed when the star expanded into a red giant before collapsing into a white dwarf
Location - Cart'hen star system is located in space sector designated - Starbase 118 - This space sector is divided almost equally between the Federation, Klingon and Romulan Empires. Cart'hen is approximately 4 lightyears from Starbase 118 near the center of the sector.
Cart'hen I = asteroid belt... destroyed remains of a planet.
Cart'hen II = a dwarf planet with a diameter of 1273.5 km (791.5 miles).
- a hot desert planet with a diameter of 7,044.8km (4,378.4 miles)...
- a density of 7.6 (this is an extremely dense world with mostly heavy metals forming its core)
- a gravity of 0.76 G's

- it has a population of 600,000, made up of over 30 different races
- technically a part of the Federation it is a lawless planet that at one time was part of the Klingon Empire
