Mother: Val Stead – Systems Administrator for a Medical Supply Company Val has always been a hardworking mother. She took only a few months off to raise her son before returning to work in order to ensure food continued to be placed on their table. Her husband left her prior to Will’s birth, so she was forced to raise him alone. A working mother with limited skills, she pushed Will to pursue a better life and model himself from those of integrity. (To never become his father.) Val decided to never tell Will his father’s name, or how to find him. Will is unsure if his mom even knows where his Dad is anymore.

Father: Unknown. Will does not know who his father is, where he is, or even if he is alive to this day.

Personal History

Will grew up with his mother on one of the numerous colonies that they lived on. Life was tough on them as their financial situation left them with little money, and little time for each other. His mother, forced to work long hours in order to support the two of them was often absent while he was growing up. While she loved him, she often missed his birthdays and other holidays. Will would never question her motives however, and as soon as he was legally old enough to work, joined his mother at the medical supply company in order to help support the household. Will’s mother urged him to attend Star Fleet for numerous reasons: To make a life for himself, to achieve his potential, and to learn and grow within the ideal environment which breeds excellence, respect and understanding. Unknown to Will, she felt that these traits were important for him, as she feared her son turning into anything like his father.

Will was born.

1. 237702.14:

Will attains his first job at the age of 12, as a factory hand packing boxes of medical supplies for transit. He is allowed to work part time hours around his school schedules.

1. 237706.14 to 238202.10:

Will works hard as first a factory hand, then junior team leader, and finally inventory and production assistant before acquiring the position of Productivity Team Member. His mother seeing much more potential in him, has been saving funds for his 17th birthday.

1. 238202.11:

Will's mother surprises him with the fact that she has enrolled him in a preparation course for Star Fleet Academy. Will would travel to another system to learn the basic skills in order to apply and write the Academy Entrance exam. Will is both elated and dismayed at the thought of leaving home. Will`s mom makes him promise to be everything he was meant to be, and to never forget where he came from.

1. 238303.01:

Will applies to the academy and completes the entrance exam.

1. 238303.24:

Will begins Academy training at Star Base 118, majoring in Helm / Navigation, with a minor in Ops / Comm.

1. 238705.31:

Will completes general courses and transfers to Star Fleet Command Training.

1. 238710.29:

Will graduates and begins the Cadet Cruise training in order to complete his Star Fleet Academy training.

Upon successfully completing the Cadet Cruise, Will is assigned to the USS Apollo
