Timeline
Born to a pair of Starfleet officers aboard the USS Agamemnon, R'Marr is somewhat of a Starfleet brat. While his parents provided him with many opportunities to visit the homeworld, he always seemed to prefer his time aboard ship. At school age, he made the decision to complement his studies with pursuits of some of the crew's junior officers, gaining experience in the day-to-day running of a starship. However, there was one department to which he was refused access due to the acute need for doctor-patient confidentiality: Sickbay.
Rather than succumb to the frustration of the denial of his access to medical appointments, R'Marr continued about his duties, but was always curious about what went on behind those closed doors. His fascination led him to read simple texts and articles on medicine and anatomy towards the end of his school career, and developed into the wish to take medicine on as an Academy major.
Finally allowed access to a topic that had always been mysterious to him, R'Marr flourished, and threw himself into his studies. After two years at the Academy he became more aware of the benefits of his position, as he began to understand the doctor's role as the man responsible for the wellbeing of all members of a ship's crew.
Cadet R'Marr, a Caitian, is currently a mock cadet for Starbase 118 Academy.
