Starfleet Academy

Stardate 237608.20

Daniel seems to be a very determined young man with many goals and ambitions. His Dad's death seems to have made him a much stronger person and has had a dramatic impact on his life. Daniel is, without a doubt, a very outgoing and confident person who reacts well to both group and solo activities. I, Lt.Cmdr Damien Scott, declare Cadet Daniel Wood mentally fit for entry into the Academy. -Lt. Cmdr. Damien Scott (Chief Counselor, Starfleet Academy)

Stardate 237804.16

After the death of his father, Daniel assumed the responsibility of "man of the house," which placed him under great stress to perform. He saw what his father did as an act of bravery for his crew, and felt that he had to do the same. After numerous counseling sessions, Daniel decided that, although his father is worthy of his respect, he has no obligation to live up to his father's standards. As a result, Daniel has developed greater pyschological strength, and will make a fine officer some day. He consistently puts others first, and this, in addition to his ability to listen to their problems and offer excellent advice, will benefit him in his first command. As a note for the record, I, Lt. Cmdr. Terri Farquhar would like Daniel to become a counselor. -Lt. Cmdr. Terri Farquhar (Chief Counselor, Starfleet Academy)

Stardate 238505.02

Daniel has exhibited extensive emotional maturity since my initial psychological profile over a year ago. He is exceptionally aware of his own position and of those around him as people rather than names or numbers. I believe him to be a highly emotional man, though this can serve him both well and ill, as he may sometimes lead with his heart rather than considering the all possibilities within a given situation. However, he is more than fit for duty and is released without mandatory referral. -Lt. Cmdr. Lily Ventu (Chief Counselor, USS Independence-A)
