History

Due to an accident in 2370, several of these beings became trapped in a ship, the USS Raman and needed to communicate with humans. The Marijnian beings communicate by directly accessing thoughts which proved deadly to humans, so in order to communicate, the beings instead assumed the image of a familiar humanoid in an effort to find their way back to the safety of their home in low orbit around the planet.

Government

Based on what little data is available the experts have concluded that there is a very strong possibility that they may have a collective, a government where every individual has an equal voice. Further investigation is recommended in order to verify the exact nature of their form of government.

Description

They are sentient telepathic subspace species who appear to humans as tiny chemical flames that float and live in the atmosphere in the lower depths of the gas giant Marijne VII.

Physiology

Since they are obviously some form of subspace species who appear as chemical flames in the lower atmospheres of a gas giant it is impossible at this time to conjecture about any aspect of their physiology. Further investigation is recommended in order to verify the exact nature of their physiology.

Psychology

Due to the extremely limited contact between Federation personnel and these beings there is not enough data available to even conjecture about this aspect of their species.

Religion

Most experts seem to agree that based on the data available that they may not have any form or type of religion and that if they do they may not be recognizable to us as such. Further investigation is recommended in order to verify the exact nature of their religious beliefs.

Mythology

Most experts seem to agree that based on the data available that they may not have any form or type of mythology and that if they do they may not be recognizable to us as such. Further investigation is recommended in order to determine if they do have any form of mythology.

Society

Based on what little data is available the experts have concluded that there is a very strong possibility that they may have a collective, a society where every single one of them is equal and where they all live in peaceful harmony with each other. Further investigation is recommended in order to verify the exact nature of their society.

Culture

Most experts seem to agree that based on the data available that they may not have any form or type of customs and that if they do they may not be recognizable to us as such. Further investigation is recommended in order to verify if they do have any form of culture.

Customs

Most experts seem to agree that based on the data available that they may not have any form or type of customs and that if they do they may not be recognizable to us as such. Further investigation is recommended in order to verify if they do have any customs.

Technology

As best as can be determined by the data available most experts seem to agree that the likelihood is that they do not have or even need any form of technology.

Economy

As best as can be determined by the data available most experts seem to agree that the likelihood is that they do not have or even need any form of economic trade. It is also likely that they have no understanding or concept of what currency, trade or economic ventures is.

Military

As best as can be determined by the data available most experts seem to agree that the likelihood is that they do not have or even need any form of military. It is also likely that they have no understanding or concept of what a military is.

Federation Intelligence Files

Due to an accident in 2370, several of these beings became trapped in a ship and needed to communicate with humans. The Marijnian beings communicate by directly accessing thoughts which proved deadly to humans, so in order to communicate, the beings instead assumed the image of a familiar humanoid in an effort to find their way back to the safety of their home in low orbit around the planet.

They assumed the image of Geordi La Forge mother who had become lost and believed dead and through his visor interface which had been modified by Data, and Beverly Crusher to allow him to control a probe by remote control. This probe was used to search for the USS Raman which was in a low orbit within the atmosphere of Marijne VII which was a gas giant.
