::Surely in that layout, 1 is the most recent (i.e. the subject), 2 & 3 their parents, 5, 6, 7 & 8 their parents, etc... I've never seen a family tree with the most recent member at the top. Btw, the inverted table, with a slightly tidier code, is at [[118Wiki:Sand Box#Ancestry chart (top to bottom)]]. If you still prefer your version then fine, we'll leave as is for the time being. - [[User:Salak|<font color="maroon">Lt. <nowiki>*</nowiki>Comes across from attempts to annotate a pic in photoshop, with the beginnings of a headache, and takes one look at the code* It's a case of simple maths. Um... If Wolf's entry, as the only entry in that row, has a column span of 999, then every other row must add up to 999 as well. They aren't aligning probably cos each row doesn't add up to 999 I'd expect. I'd have a look at it properly, except it's 10 to 1 in the morning, I want to get a sim out before I go to bed, and a fix when I'm unfamiliar with the dimensions could easily take half an hour or more... I'll look tomorrow and try and resolve it; Prob try and make the bottom row uniform widths and work up. - [[User:Salak|<font color="maroon">Lt. With regards to insignia: www.rpg-insignias.co.uk

When it's working, you'll normally be able to find what you need regarding Starfleet pips there. - Salak 06:14, 12 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Thanks Salak :o) Unfortunately the site seems to put up a Forbidden sign when I try to access it from here :o(

Thanks

Thanks Salak :o) Unfortunately the site seems to put up a Forbidden sign when I try to access it from here :o(

I've had the same problem with that site today

Proper category tags

Please remember that you only add |* to a category tag when you want that page to be classified in that category's "*" section. If it's not the "index-type" page of that category, you don't need to have the |* tag. --Wolf 20:45, 23 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Laudean Politics/Government

There seem to be some discrepancies about how the government works between Laudean Politics and Laudean Government. --Wolf 10:21, 18 February 2006 (CST)

Constitution Pages

A few of the pages you set up in the last couple of days already existed under other names. I've changed the previous pages to redirect to the new ones but if you could check Category:USS Constitution-B in future perhaps? For example, Constitution Engineering was an almost exact copy of Constitution Main Engineering except for the menu on the right and fleet boilerplate at the bottom... Checking to make sure you don't duplicate will save time trying to tidy up later ;) Thanks - Lt.JG SalakUSS IndependenceTalk 05:27, 31 October 2006 (CST)

Connie nav template

I've reverted the changes you made... I went through all the ships nav templates at the start of November colour coding them so all the active vessels have one colour header, all inactive vessels have a different colour header and all the destroyed vessels have yet another colour header. I ran the colour scheme through Fleet Admiral Wolf having suggested it on the wiki Yahoo Group.

Also, the links within the colour header, to the Ships wiki page and to it's classes Memory Alpha page is also uniform. It was done to help navigation and make it easier at first glance to tell the basics about the ship. I also added the registry number to the bottom of each templete. - Lt.JG SalakUSS IndependenceTalk 08:19, 6 December 2006 (CST)

Wiki Ethos

Thank you, captain, for bringing it to our attention. We'll collaborate and work on something. It'll be difficult, though, as teh entire nature of a Wiki is free access to edit. However, I agree that certain things should have some degree fo sanctity (ie character's personal info). Also, any chance you could get me the info of who and what, and I can look into the incidents? -Varaan 09:32, 23 April 2007 (CDT)

It's a rule of thumb on wikipedia to assume good faith, which is something I try to do on any wiki, and felt was the case with the rosters, hence why I only altered the Connie roster (as asked) and directed the editor to the sandbox. - JayTalk 20:50, 24 April 2007 (CDT)

StarBase 118 Ops Crew Master Crew List & StarBase 118 Ops Master Crew List

These seem to be the same page duplicated? Which one do you want? - Lt.JG SalakTalk 06:46, 18 September 2007 (CDT)

Have done :) By the way, you can leave a name and timestamp for talk page messages by typing ~~~~. - Lt.JG SalakTalk 04:31, 19 September 2007 (CDT)

Thanks for teaching me that little trick!

Archiving?

<chuckle> I want to myself... had I known computers were going to axe 3.5 drives, I might have moved everything onto CDroms. May have to drop into a Kinko's or something and just dump all the discs at once. DCody 16:04, 1 January 2008 (CST)

Starabase 118 The Black Tower

I've got a question for you. On the Starfleet Intelligence article we've been hammering out, we have Alicia Armstrong as the CO/Director of the Black Tower from 2382 to present serving under yourself. On the Ops NPC page it looks like its Darien Corrigan. Could you give us an update? ;-) DCody 15:36, 6 January 2008 (CST)

Crew Nav

I had a look, it looks up to date. Is there a specific way you wanted it? All the crew correspond to the Fleet List and the updated Crew Roster. Weird... JackTalk 03:29, 13 June 2008 (EDT)

uniform

I've just had a look through the logs and the file list and find no record that such a file has existed on this wiki. I had a look intending to restore the pic if it had been deleted by accident, or to find the name if it had been named something similar in case it was a capitalisation issue. I'd recommend reuploading; Ex Astris Scientia's uniform page has a pdf with all the uniform styles on, so perhaps a screen shot from that, cropped to the right size if you're lacking a pic? - Lt. Family Tree

Are you trying to set it up as a chart showing who trained who as you go (cuurently) up the table? Would it not be better to flip the table so Wolf is at the top? Also has the downside of what about staff who've served under more than one CO? Riley served under Kare'en before she served under Anassasi for example. - Lt. SalakUSS TigerTalk 19:00, 8 July 2008 (EDT)

It does make sense, that it's the CO that the y launched from... just looks somewhat odd that way up. Gimme a few moments, I'm putting together a table that's upside down from the current layout. I'll put it in the sandbox. - Lt. SalakUSS TigerTalk 19:19, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
