The deserts and the border regions of the polar areas are prowled by large predatory creatures that swim through the sand.

A system with two average-sized stars, about the same size as Sol, and a single Class-L planet dubbed Rakis. Rakis itself is dominated by huge deserts that occupy all but its polar regions. The deserts and the border regions of the polar areas are prowled by large predatory creatures that swim through the sand.

The crew of the USS Ronin was stranded for a short here after shipwide systems failures forced an evacuation of the vessel.
