Pre-industrial society closely resembling 19th Century Earth, encountered by the Enterprise NX-01 in 2151. The Akaali were suffering from a mysterious plague caused by a secret Malurian mining operation.  The city's groundwater was contaminated with tetracyanate 622, a known toxic compound used as an industrial libricant.  This was deemed by the ship's doctor, Phlox to be the cause of the wide-spread plague among the civilians.  Luckily, Captain Archer uncovered this information, destroyed the operation, and left behind a cure for the Akaali.
