Home World Proper Name: Trill (also called Trillius Prime) Diameter: 12,986 km (8,069 miles) Gravity: 0.98 standard gravity Orbital Period: 483 days Rotational Period: 26.6 hours Classification: M Surface Water: oceans, lakes Atmosphere: The surface had an atmospheric pressure of 1.012 bar with 76% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 0.8% argon, 0.5% water vapor, and 0.3% carbon dioxide, with trace amounts of methane. Climate: Lots of varied climates, including deserts, tropical and arctic zones. Mean temperature of 23.85 (297 Kelvin). Terrain: It has rolling plains, hills, forests, swamps, deserts, mountain ranges, oceans, jungles, lakes, canyons, and caves. Population: There were 650 million Trill (98.5% Unjoined, 1.5% Joined) and 11 million Symbiont living on this world in 2370. Geography The planet has a blue-green sky, and the rocks are bluish in tint. Mountain Ranges The largest mountain range on Trill is known as Ayai'leh-hirh. It’s name translates to Five Thousand Valleys. The largest mountain is Bes Manev. Other mountain ranges include: Deln Mountains - located near the Troyval Ocean with purple-tinged water. Lekarna Mountains Nalep Mountains - location of Diar Valley. Urot Mountains - located near the Uzonn Ocean. Points of Interest Caves of Mak'ala Forest of Murona - Jungles known for diverse wildlife and ancient ruins. Ganses Peninsula - location of Ganses University. Forest of G’hir - a subterranean arboretum famous for its bio-luminescence. Sandima Cliffs - hosts professional diving events. Isle of Derom - located off the coast of Iklan Cape. Dorvan A town located in the Ayai'leh-hirh foothills; known for its ski slopes. Chi’tar A city that has an ethnohistory museum. Gheryzan A city located in the eastern hemisphere. Points of Interest Gheryzan Hospital - housed long-term mental health facilities. Grodor A town on the foothills of Bes Manev. Hometown of Yogan Yalu. Grodor is also the name of the regional municipality that takes in the surrounding hinterland. Heran’zul A small farming town located in the Mayrn province. Iklan A coastal metropolis. Leran Manev Leran Manev is the former capital of Trill. It is located on the shores of Manev Bay and spreads out towards the foothills of Bes Manev mountain. The large city has several distinct areas including, the dock district, the government sector, and the Old City. The Old City is known for it's architecture which includes buildings from throughout the city's history. Throughout the Old City are canals that once served as an important method of transportation within the city and can still be used. Points of Interest Hoobishan Baths Leran Manev State University Manev University Najana Library - Crystal library located in Leran Manev's Old City. Trill Senate Tower - government building located in the government quarter. Mak'ala The planetary capital. Home of the University of Mak'ala. Mallawa Located on the Telrin Archipelago. Murona Large city located near the Nalep Mountians. Najana City Najana is a coastal city near the equator. Located in the Kural Province, near the Dara’air Ocean, it is one of the largest cities on Trill with both an oceanport and spaceport. The coastline is on a half-moon curve with Najana City on one end and the Ti’alor suburb on the other. The suburbs have some of the oldest stately manors in the Kural Province, with the homes located on a hilltop bluff overlooking the city. While the suburbs are on a hilltop, the city proper consists of mostly flat land upon which massive skyscrapers have been built. Najana city has been compared to San Francisco with numerous museums, restaurants, and attractions. It is a warm and modern city, but is considered to be a bit of a tourist trap by some. Points of Interest Najana Metropolitan Museum New Scirapo Home of New Scirapo University and Teaching Hospital. Pemur A small city located in the Diar Valley of the Nalep Mountains. The nearest large city is Murona. Vrans City An old city known on Trill for its high crime rates. Located near the Uzonn ocean. Despite this it is home to the well respected Grazhall University. It is also closer to more waterfalls than any other city on Trill. Fauna Deroe fish - a fish native to Troyval Ocean and used to make meals. Dune Lizard - A kind of lizard that lives in the Trill Savanna. It has four legs, light brown scales, and long tail that drags on the ground. Domestic Feathercats - Kept as pets. They purr and shed quill casings. Ghan - Domesticated herd animals raised for their fur which is used to make textiles. Also known for being good climbers. Jaten'yoa - A type of bird that has habitats in Freyn, near Dorvan. They are long-billed and known for not being flock birds making it difficult to find their nests. Mreker - A quadruped. Similar to Earth dogs in that it barks, digs, and is often kept as pets. Tenaran Seal - seals native to the Tenaran Ice Cliffs Trill feather-ape - The feather-ape was a primate from the planet Trill, considered reasonably self-aware considering their animal nature. Several feather-apes were aboard the starship USS Oraidhe; their minds were absorbed by the intellivore when it attacked. Xay'ix - A domesticated species of bird used for herding. Like dogs of Earth, they come in many different breeds. Xer'ji is one of these breeds, known for it's agility. Are often housed in large aviaries. References
