Murphy (Deceased) - Best friend Murphy In many ways Murphy saved Finch; marred by her depressing life on Earth, bound into looking after her miserable and mentally unsound mother, Murphy was a light at the end of the tunnel. He was originally a friend of Wallace, though quickly found another friendship in Doz; in her brothers absence, they made a pact to also become enlisted engineers and escape her humdrum existence. As a known taunter and lover of mischief, Murphy highly cherished Doz and enjoyed making fun of her workaholic nature. Often preferring her company over anyone elses, they were inseparable and even requested to work together on multiple occassions, succeeding in doing so on the USS Bonestell, and later in life the USS Marigold. His life came to an end on-board the Marigold in an event that frankly ripped Doz's world apart, and is the sole reason she accepted an offer to commission, desperate for a distraction she swore she would never pursue.
