Even if the voice attributed to her by the universal translator was one fit for a distinguished, elderly lady, the mouth it came from was decidedly not. Ensign

Siya Irri Isses Carr (commonly referred as ensign Carr) was a pahkwa-thanh, and while she was not as physically imposing as some other member of her species, she was still a 6'4" bipedal dinosaur to the casual observer. ::

Carr clenched her jaw and flared her nostrils. Jefferies tubes hadn't been designed with her species in mind. :: = sigh
The commander remained calm and smiling, soothing the other primate. Siya inhaled approvingly. She was a good pack alpha. The red-furred female went to a console and started typing frantically. ::
Siya lowered her tail close to her hind legs, in what would have been an apologetic shrug for a human. ::

She liked Vulcans. If she had to work with primates, she'd rather they were of the cold-blooded kind

Ensign Siya Irri Isses Carr was standing to attention in front of the Captain and someone who was probably the Number One, and for the umpteenth time, she was inwardly cursing whoever was responsible for the standard design of Starfleet ships. The turbolift ride had been somewhat of an ordeal, and even now, she had to keep her tail awkwardly coiled around her legs for fear of knocking someone or something down.
Siya's nostrils flared in curiosity. ::

She nodded. For them, it was just another information, but for her, this meant something more. Something very important. Her tongue darted out slighty once or twice before she composed herself again.

These things were potential prey. ::
