| Kamren’s biological parents were unmarried and unprepared for a child, and were enrolled in the Academy. So, they did what they thought was best for the child: they gave her up for adoption right after her birth.

| As Kamren grew older and more aware, she started to question her adoptive parents about her background and grew curious about her biological parents. When she approached the adoption agency when she came of age, they stated that any information disclosed would be in violation of the closed adoption. Even if she was living in a stable home and had a somewhat happy childhood, Kamren always felt that something was missing. Not knowing her full history and the idea that her biological parents wanted to keep their identities secret from her, made her feel worthless to a degree. They took away what she felt were her rights; her right to have answers.

| She has anger issues that stem from this.

| Her adoptive father is a retired homicide detective, and it proved to be an interesting upbringing. Because of this, she has a warped, dark sense of humor – for example, referring to charred remains as, “crispy critters.”

| Kamren was known to be a bit of a rebellious teenager. She enrolled in the Academy with interests in Security. She was able to channel her anger effectively in simulations, but had occasional outbursts that caused some issues. She had ulterior motives for joining the Academy, though -- to find out more about her true parents and discover her Klingon heritage.
