Dr. Ian West Office is located on Deck 24 to the starboard side of The Observatory in the Sensor Module.

Ian has two desk top computer systems, the one on the credenza is mostly for results of test and scans.  The One on the main desk is used for everyday duties.  The window in front of the desk has a large Master Display Systems that is a holographic projection that can be turned on or off that is tracking in real time the space around the ship.

There is one book case in the office that holds 39 old Poitry and Classic Earth books from 1800's earth on it.  He also has photos of his family around the office.


Ian uses this screen to help schedule time in the labs and stellar cartography based on need of the science officer and task teamed up against the need of the ship.  Ian prefers to manage the labs over having Operations manage them. To help free up The list of jobs that Operations must preform and the simple fact that they may not know about some of the more long term experiments being ran.
The small table with four chairs in the far corner of the office can often be found with a great many stacks of PADDS laying on it.  Ian has all of his staff turn in there reports via PADD on that table so he can read them and then make his daily report to the commanding officer.
