Peter was born and raised in AZ, North America, spending much of his early childhood and adolescence in the hot, arid, desert areas as recreation and to train himself survival skills. From early on Peter's dream was to become a Marine, much to the dismay of his mother who grew up as a child of a Starfleet Marine combat Veteran.

Peter's Grandfather was Starfleet Marine Corp. Lieutenant Colonel Burt S. Perry who served in some of the bloodiest planetary confrontations against the Chakuun during the Tholian conflicts of the 2350's and was decorated for Valor several times. Lieutenant Colonel Perry died of a massive coronary event while attending a school function for Peter in 2392 at the age of 61. He received full funeral Honors. Peter was devastated as he spent much cherished time with his Grandfather and perceived him as beyond death. This steeled young Peter in his desire to serve and he dedicated all of his extracurricular time to learning about weaponry, hand-to-hand combat and land-based survival.

Peter has been described by his peers and former instructors as singularly focused and far beyond driven.
