History

The Angosian War veterans were normal Angosians that, through mind-control and biochemical manipulation, were turned into fighting machines, making them nearly invincible. Peacetime, however, found the Angosians unable (or unwilling to take the time) to reverse the effects of these alterations. After several incidents involving these violent soldiers, the fearful Angosians voted to banish the soldiers to a penal colony on Lunar V, and so these veterans were imprisoned on an uninhabitable moon to separate them from the populace. Shortly before Stardate 43489.2, however, escapees broke free to take over the capital city, demanding they receive help to be able to return to their homes. The veterans don't attack unless provoked, but they are programmed to survive.

As a result of this steps have been taken to try and reverse the process. Still there has not been much progress at this time so they have been given Luna V as a colony. Lots of effort has been put into making this into a self sufficent colony but more work is still needed.

Government

Now that they have been given their independence they have formed their own independent government that is patterned after their military rank structure. As a result they are commanded by a Gan. Next are 4 Tu-Gans and then 8 Ka-Gans.

Description

The Angosian War veterans are a humanoid race that is outwardly indistinguishable from Humans. They can be identified from normal Angosians by the military tattoos that run from their eyes back to their ears. These tattoos give some basic data regarding rank and military specialty.

Physiology

Unlike normal Angosians they have been experimented on. As a result they do have the necessary hormones and enzymes needed for violent or aggressive behaviour. Certain other basic physiological differences also make their chemical make up distinct and unique from other Angosians.

Psychology

While normal Angosians tend to be very even tempered, basically non-violent and fairly stable mentally those members of their society that they experimented on and converted into soldiers are the opposite. They are aggressive, capable of extreme acts of violence and have a low tolerance for evasive and insulting treatment. They are also not noted for their patience.

Religion

Unknown at this time. If they do have one it does not seem to be a very important aspect of their society.

Mythology

Unknown at this time.

Society

The civilized humanoids of Angosia III are non-violent by nature. They are advanced in the development of the mind, intellect and typically are thoughtful and intelligent. This mentality has resulted in very little crime and a very organized and structured lifestyle.

Culture

They are more concerned with the pursuits of the mind but this does not interfere with the finer arts. Poets, painters, sculptors and musicians all strive to create relaxing yet thought provoking concepts and creations.

Customs

Not much is know about their customs at this time.

Technology

They are slightly behind the majority of Federation member worlds when it comes to their technology.

Economy

They are completely dependant on the Angosians on Angosia 3 for most of their supplies. While much work has been done to convert Lunar V into a completely self sufficent colony they still have a long way to go.

Military

Mind control and biochemical's were used to create the ultimate fighting soldiers by the Angosians. As a result they won the Tarsian War. These veterans were treated to intense psychological conditioning and exotic biochemical alterations to make them nearly invincible.

Since there has not been any successful reversal of the process discovered yet the entire population maintains a regular daily training routine of 2 hours. This allows them to stay in shape and to burn off surplus aggressive tendencies.
