A Joint Post (often abbreviated as "JP") is a collaborative sim written external to the typical Play-by-Email format and posted, often in several Parts, by the collaborators when it is completed.
Inter-Ship JPs are Joint Posts written collaboratively by members of more than one ship's crew and, depending on the relevance of the subject matter, may be posted to each ship's lists.
JPs can allow for more refined storytelling at the cost of spontaneity, so they are not meant to replace regular simming. As a result, there may be limitations regarding their usage. If you're unsure of your ship's policies regarding JPs, consult with your Commanding Officer (CO) and/or Mentor.
