{{Citation|Russ Bar|239806.19|USS Constitution-B| One of the most wonderful things about Star Trek is the depth of lore created by it, and one of the most satisfying thing to read is when that lore is artfully incorporated into a sim, giving it that extra bit of both realism and nostalgia. We all know and love our Trek, but there are those amongst us who know it, with a depth and breadth that often surprises and delights us. The Russ Bar is awarded to those amongst us whose knowledge of Trek lore is encyclopaedic, and who incorporate that into their writing. And oh boy, Trek lore is massive after decades of space stories. This writer keeps impressing us with his knowledge of the lore, especially in the technological level, since he joined us on the Conny. These details add to the color of the whole picture, making it easy to imagine these scenes as if they were on the big screen. If you are looking for a detailed description of even minute technological tasks or are curious about other bits of lore others may overlook, you go and ask Travis, the writer behind our own Tech-Vulcan Sirn and the winner of the Russ bar. Congratulations Travis, and well deserved!}}
{{Citation|TOSMA|239806.19|USS Constitution-B|Our last award is give to those writers that show a great dedication in simming, contribute good and solid ideas not only for the plots but also character development. Their sims are of high quality and worthy of The Order of Starfleet Merit and Achievement First Class, or short TOSMA. TOSMA recipients represent our most well-rounded writers. They submit regular, high quality sims and demonstrate good character development and insight, plot advancement and development and character interaction and teamwork. We are proud to present this year’s TOSMA to a new addition who has rapidly become part of the family. Congratulations Travis, writer of Sirn.}}

History

Born on Vulcan to two prominent Vulcan scientists, Sirn grew up with his older brother Stros, following in his footsteps all the way through the Vulcan Science Academy delving deeply into warp theory and experimental technologies to enhance a ship’s warp capabilities. While his brother was more interested in alternate means of achieving Faster-than-Light travel, Sirn focused primarily on current configurations of warp drives and systems to establish technologies and equipment to help improve maneuverability and reduce the damage to space time during warp field generation. Once his brother left to join Starfleet, he stayed behind to further his studies with the Science Academy before finally joining Starfleet to expand his understanding of different warp capabilities beyond that of the Vulcan home world. Joining Starfleet opened his eyes to new designs and technological theories that he hoped he could one day incorporate into his studies and make a difference for the Galaxy. His Starfleet career was abruptly cut short, as several emergencies back on Vulcan forced his hand and he had to resign.

Now, as a member of the Vulcan Science Academy, Sirn has been tasked with travelling to the Delta Quadrant as a representative of the Science Academy to study and document the warp technologies of Delta Quadrant species.
