Personal History

Raised early on by her material grandmother Joan Alexander, Awa was regaled with stories of her grandfather Kwame Alexander, a starfleet officer who went missing while on a mission.

When her grandmother too went missing some years later, she was sent to live with her mother Anya in a colony outside on Federation space.

Despite a rough upbringing, Awa managed to get accepted to starfleet on special status. She'd done well enough to pass all of her course, but continually throughout her starfleet academy career her great potential has been recognized, but been admonished for lack of focus and direction, other than getting away from the situation she had been in.
