Once the ship was underway, Captain Andrus Jaxx revealed to the crew the nature of their mission. Over the course of several weeks, Starfleet Command has lost contact with three vessels that were attempting to chart the Typhon Expanse. Little is currently known about the Expanse, other than it contains a number of previously unknown, and potentially dangerous anomalies. The Apollo’s mission is to locate and, if possible, recover the crews of the three missing vessels. If recovery should fail, they are to attempt to determine what caused the loss of the ships.
With the newly recommissioned [[USS Constitution-B]] finally staffed and space-worthy, Commander [[Shelter Faranster]] ordered the ship to the Sotra System. The ship would testing its "sea legs" on a relatively easily first mission - a basic supply delivery to the isolated Sotra Orbital Research Station or SORS and its two scientists.  Over the six day journey to the remote station, the crew began to bond and work together.

While on route to the Expanse, the crew picked up a distress call from a merchant ship belonging to a race known as the Altorans. The freighter was discovered several light-years from normal shipping routes, and the crew has gone out of their way to disguise their distress call and cargo.
After arriving at the station, the two researchers a [[Ktarian]] named [[Aralo Onil]] and a [[Denobulan]] named [[Morely Rin]] greeted the crew.  Commander Faranster informed the two scientists that a reception was being thrown in their honor and they would be offered a guided tour of the Constitution's science labs and facilities.  Both were eager to leave the station for a short amount of time as the effects of such a long period of isolation were beginning to take their toll.

An away team, led By LtCmdr Liam Frost is preparing to beam aboard to assist with repairs and, if possible, find out what the Altorans are trying to hide.
While being led around the ship, the Constitution found a contradictory report stating that SORS was actually staffed by seven researchers.  Confused by this and somewhat alarmed, an away was dispatched to investigate the station.

At around the same time, the tour of the Constitution ended and a party in the newly renamed bar "The Black Hole" began.  Meanwhile, several shuttles arrived at the Constitution to deposit new crew members who had missed the initial transfer at [[Starbase 118]].  One of these shuttles was the M'Ress.  Upon approach, the shuttle experienced strange mechanical failures and was towed into a Shuttlebay for investigation.

The Apollo, while en route to the Typhon Sector, has encountered a disabled Altoran freighter. A freighter which has been going to great efforts to hide the contents of its cargo hold. An away team, led by Lieutenant Commander Liam Frost, had boarded the freighter, ostensibly to perform needed repairs. While performing said repairs, the away team discovered what the freighter crew was hiding: the salvaged remains of a Borg scout vessel. The freighter captain claims to have discovered the wreckage in neutral territory and has filed the appropriate legal documents to make his salvage legal. Thus far, the away team has found no substatial information to refute this claim.
With the party in full swing, the security detail that had been assigned to the researchers on their tour finished their shift. As they made their way towards the elevators, one of the crew, a [[Bajoran]], experienced a strange hallucination and fired on his fellow officers, killing one of them. He is in turn was gunned down. Several other officers aboard the ship began reporting headaches, visions, noises, odd smells, and nightmares.  Other cases of violent behavior were also reported throughout the ship. It became apparent that something was very wrong.

During the investigation, the remains of a heavily damaged drone were recovered. The remains have been transported back to the Apollo for examination by science officer Vid-Lotilija and medical officer Sidney Pierce. It is their hope that they will retrieve enough information from the drone to determine where it came from and how it came to be in the possession of the Altoran freighter.
As the Away Team returned to the ship, both their findings and the investigation into the M'Ress proved troubling. The Away Team had located several researchers in suspended animation in status pods and it was learned that the M'Ress was carrying illegal cargo, bound for the station. Suspicion immediately turned towards the visiting scientists and they were detained in Sickbay.

One of the freighter's crew, a young Bajoran medic, has also beamed aboard the Apollo, under escort from intel officer Viktor Lanius. It is Ensign Lanius’s hope that the young man will shed enough light to resolve this already murky situation.
In the attempts to wake the cryogenically frozen researchers for some answers as to what was happening proved difficult, conditions aboard the ship worsened. Crew members all over the ship reported coming down with symptoms.  The Commander ordered all non infected crew to stay in their quarters.  Several medical teams and security teams were also infected as they reported to various situations.  In a matter of hours, nearly the entire ship was overrun with these unknown symptoms.

The bridge crew began to pull their information together and investigate the hypothesis that, perhaps, this wasn't a random sickness.  The theory that this was a targeted and planned infestation gained traction as it was discovered using a seldom considered scanner that there were surges in invisible energy every time symptoms were experienced.  Those surges had a clear, direct pattern and were slowly working their way through the ship.

After discovering an inactive Borg scout ship within the hold of an Altoran freighter, the crew of the USS Apollo, NCC-71669, has tried to come up with the best solution regarding how to deal with it. But with the variety of experiences of the crew, reaching a consensus has been a challenge. Some favour taking the ship aboard the Apollo for study, while others favour destroying it. The only thing they can seem to agree on is that it does not belong in the hands of less than reputable traders. But even doing that is posing its own challenges. Any grounds the the Apollo crew has for confiscating the ship is shaky at best. Captan Andrus Jaxx’s solution is to combine legal standing while appealing to the freighter captain’s business sense. An offer of supplies, assemebled by Commander Tal Tel-ar, was offered to the captain, and accepted. An away team, led by Lt. Commander Liam Frost boarded the freighter in order to make the needed preperations to the ship, while the engineering and science departments of the Apollo work together to build protections for the Apollo and her crew once the Borg vessel is aboard.
Whatever they were dealing with was sentient. However, nothing matched [[Starfleet]] records.  They were forced to improvise. Using isotropic radiation to flood the ship, the crew was able to "mark" the energy clouds. Now able to see their assailants as gaseous clouds, the crew acted.

Their task finished, the Apollo is free to resume her journey to the Typhon sector in order to continue her primary assignment.

With the newly recommissioned USS Constitution-B finally staffed and space-worthy, Commander Shelter Faranster ordered the ship to the Sotra System. The ship would testing its "sea legs" on a relatively easily first mission - a basic supply delivery to the isolated Sotra Orbital Research Station or SORS and its two scientists. Over the six day journey to the remote station, the crew began to bond and work together.

After arriving at the station, the two researchers a Ktarian named Aralo Onil and a Denobulan named Morely Rin greeted the crew. Commander Faranster informed the two scientists that a reception was being thrown in their honor and they would be offered a guided tour of the Constitution's science labs and facilities. Both were eager to leave the station for a short amount of time as the effects of such a long period of isolation were beginning to take their toll.

Meanwhile, several shuttles arrived at the Constitution to deposit new crew members who had missed the initial transfer at Starbase 118. One of these shuttles was the M'Ress. Upon approach, the shuttle experienced strange mechanical failures and was towed into a Shuttlebay for investigation.

With the party in full swing, the security detail that had been assigned to the researchers on their tour finished their shift. As they made their way towards the elevators, one of the crew, a Bajoran, experienced a strange hallucination and fired on his fellow officers, killing one of them. He is in turn was gunned down. In the attempts to wake the cryogenically frozen researchers for some answers as to what was happening proved difficult, conditions aboard the ship worsened.
