The USS Starwind
The USS StarWind is an Excalibur class vessel designed for both deep space exploration and war.
Designed as an experimental trial combining the better aspects of other classes. The StarWind, being the third Excalibur designed, has been made to utilize the better qualities of both the Sovereign and the Intrepid classes, while the designers attempted to leave out the flaws of its predecessors. Some of the more familiar specifications she now holds include bio-neural circuitry and folding warp nacelles.
Named for the quick, and often awe-inspiring solar winds that sweep through the galaxy, the StarWind was previously assigned to Starbase 118.
