Toren Jorissa was born to very devout parents who dedicated their lives to the Prophets. When Jorissa was young, they died for their faith and she spent the remainder of her childhood in an orphanage. Growing up in the years after the Occupation, as Bajor struggled to rebuild, Jorissa saw Starfleet as the stabilizing force for her homeworld. Having limited options when she came of age, she registered at Starfleet Academy; putting her past, and Bajor, behind her. Jorissa now views Starfleet as her home, her people, and her purpose. Still carrying a chip on her shoulder, the Cadet is eager to please but very unpolished. She has a hot temper but a passion for doing her best to protect those around her. | |||
