Ao-Chuan grew up in the Township of Lam, the second son of the Ao-couple, and the apple of his mother's eye. Thanks to her influence - as the Town Presider and Judicator, he started to aspire to a life in service to justice, and once he reached Bre'une - the Age of Affirmation - he chose a life in service to the Avatar of Law and Justice. Once his education came to an end, he joined up with local law enforcement to his mother's dismay. She had always hoped he would follow in her footsteps and become a Judicator, but Ao-Chuan soon showed a knack for the more menial tasks of handling the day-to-day infractions, and he was soon known for his commitment to the community and his eternal optimism that won the respect of his fellow officers and the people he served to defend. He fell in love with the sister of one of his colleague's, I-Mey, who was a compassionate and gentle woman, who shared his passion for helping others.
