Tanith Leigh Brubaker is an OPS/Security Trainee currently assigned and working at Deep Space 33. While outwardly standoffish and sometimes quick to anger. Tanith Leigh is a hard-working investigative mind and painfully earnest figure, graced with a strong sense of right and wrong.

Sometimes to her own detriment...

Born into a family of investigators, Robson being a fourth generation police officer and mother Grace being the middle daughter of the (in)famous West family of physicians; known throughout Arkham County, Tanith Leigh often jokes that she "never had a chance". That it was a "desk either way". Though her life has offered far more than the dry academia and quiet country policing that built her family's legacy.

From a very early age, Tanith seemed to chafe badly against one Winnifred Duffy and her "goon squad" made up of the Whatley clan that seem to permeate Arkham County. From primary school on, the two (and various others who "ran" with Winnifred) were always at odds. Both on and off the school grounds, a far-reaching rivalry that even seemed to extend into their tumultuous high school days. Tanith Leigh being the slightly rigid and stolid rule-follower, while Winnifred and her ilk seemed content to fill the roles of hellraisers. Often coming to odds (and blows) with the Arkham constabulary. However, Tanith Leigh had her sights set on something more than chasing down drunks and petty thieves. Matriculating at the nearby Miskatonic U with eyes set on the Justice Department or Starfleet JAG where blissfully Winnifred Duffy could not afford to follow.

Her college years passed with relative ease and silence. Taking the weekends and summers in Arkham where her father (now retired) and brothers had started a private investigation firm; Brubaker Investigative Services. In her downtime, Tanith Leigh would help work the cases and keep the office, learning the ropes and learning further that she loved them. The thrill of the chase, the puzzle aspects of the strange cases her father and older brother would catch. From there, the "desk" and their awaiting clues beckoned. Tanith Leigh now had her calling. She just had to answer it now.

Graduating just a few years later, degreed and working toward the Arkham Police Academy, Tanith seemed to find her place in the world. Quickly gaining her place in an incoming class, she took to patrol work and the basic training almost as well as she did the legwork. However, once she entered uniform patrols, the trouble started. Turns out, in her absence, Winnifred Duffy and the surviving and now older Whatleys had started quite a collection of rackets throughout Arkham County. Worse still, Winnifred and her "old friends of Tanith Leigh's" started to give her quite a welcome home. Several conflict filled years were soon to follow as Tanith Leigh started to rise through the ranks. Even quicker than her decorated and respected father and grandfather had.

Though with that rise came several hard years for Tanith Leigh. Though she was the youngest Chief of Detectives the County had ever seen and had gained some impressive collars, the grind and morbidity of Earth-based policing started to take a toll on the young investigator. As had her ongoing, now bracing enmity with Winnifred Duffy and her henchmen. Which had started to rise to a fever pitch. After one last, particularly fraught year, (a year that Tanith Leigh all but refuses to talk about sober) Tanith Leigh resigned her position as Arkham's Chief of Detectives and started looking toward other, more fulfilling pastures as she entered her 30s.

Now, she has taken to the stars. Hoping that Starfleet has use of her skills and unconventionally driven mind.
