History
Born on a small agricultural planet. Simple life, but happy, until the accident. Santi doesn't speak of it, but records show that several of the community's elders were killed in a fire at the town centre. His father was apparently one of those killed, though autopsies were poorly done, and some were inconclusive. Montoya was raised by his mother from age 7.
He became obsessed with getting away from San Cristobal, and Starfleet became his main focus and goal.
