Tribble

Tribbles are small, furry creatures that eat. They also procreate, an activity which they refer to telepathically as "pro-Tribble-ation". They are capable of latent telepathic communication with non-sentient lifeforms only. Their verbal language consists of two words: "Mrrr" and "Habber-Jabber!" The first, which may vary in length depending on mood and intent, is generally used for non-aggressive discourse. The second is most often used to warn others of the presence of aggressors such as Klingons or Starfleet Security Officers who've come to take them away. On the Tribble Homeworld (location undisclosed), there is a central governing authority known as the Grand Tribbunal.
