I've changed coding for a few of your links recently. I know you put the old coding in a while ago, but curious if you knew about interwiki links? To link to a page on Memory Alpha, just put ''<nowiki>ma:</nowiki>'' before the linked article title but otherwise link as normal. For wikipedia, it's wp instead of ma. For example, for the Defiants page on Memory alpha, see [[ma:USS Defiant]]. Also, for external links, no pipe is needed as the first space in the code for an external link serves the same purpose as a pipe in the code of an internal or interwiki link. Hope that makes sense :) - [[User:Salak|<font color="maroon">Lt. Salak</font>]][[Image:Nav-paladin.jpg|35px|USS Independence-A]]<i>[[User talk:Salak|Talk]]</i> 20:53, 18 March 2008 (EDT) |

The character page is for the character, your user page is for you as a writer. Not sure if your NPC's should really be listed on your character page. See Creation and Upkeep of a Character Page (specifically Character Page vs. User Page) for more info. - JayTalk 10:23, 5 August 2007 (CDT)
Ah, thanks. Made the change. It didn't really seem to fit before; thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
Not a problem. Part of my role here. Need anything, feel free to drop me a note. And common practice is to sign comments such as these with 4 Tildes (eg ~~~~) which provides a date stamp with your username so we can see who comments and when without looking at the page log. Like so: JayTalk 13:00, 6 August 2007 (CDT)
Good to know! Let's see.... Yep, there it is! Onewhoisseveral 21:48, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
- For the record, the system didn't inform you as it wasn't on your user talk page (that's this page). It'll only tell you of messages here ;) - Lt.JG SalakTalk 18:28, 16 December 2007 (CST)
- Oh! Well, then, I'll have to pay more attention. There isn't a way to receive notifications of discussions on pages beside my talk page in the future, is there? Onewhoisseveral 18:31, 16 December 2007 (CST)
- If there is, I don't know of it. You could keep track manually by watching the Talk page though, any edits will appear on "My Watchlist" which you can find top right of your screen, next to your username et al. I'd use it more myself but I watch so much of the wiki that Recent Changes is more useful for me, but I use the watchlist on wikipedia. I hadn't seen your reply on here myself so apologies for the very late response. - Lt.JG SalakTalk 10:43, 15 January 2008 (CST)
