Backstory/Timeline

Sedona was born in Ulkhar, the capital city of Denobula. Her parents, residing in one of the city's more affluent suburbs, had little time to care for her. Consequently, she was raised by a nursemaid hired by her parents. Although she enjoyed all the material comforts a child could desire, she wouldn't describe her childhood as happy due to the absence of her parents.

As a result, Sedona found solace in the company of her step-siblings and quickly became the ringleader of their mischief. Her outspoken nature frequently landed her in trouble with her mother, but it also proved useful in extricating herself from such situations. This behavior became a consistent pattern throughout her youth, not only with her mother but also with her teachers.

While there was little connection to her mother, Sedona always blamed her for not being there for her but spending time with friends while Sedona was raised by the nursemaid. Her father, on the other side, was somebody the young Denobulan admired for providing for the family. She always wanted to spend time with him, and so he took her to work at his trading business from time to time.

At the age of 19, when Sedona graduated from school, her father tragically succumbed to a severe illness. Given her specialization in commerce, following in her father's footsteps, she assumed control of his business. Her outspoken nature and flexible moral code quickly brought her into contact with the Orion Syndicate. She accepted several business proposals by the syndicate and amassed substantial wealth, securely depositing it in a Ferengi bank. However, her outspokenness and inability to fulfill a critical Syndicate contract made her a target for the Orion Syndicate, leading to numerous threats on her life and the cessation of her business.

Surviving a failed assassination attempt, she recognized the need for protection and subsequently joined Starfleet. She has kept her Syndicate ties and her past concealed from her fellow Starfleet members, relying on Starfleet's security services to ensure her safety.
