History
Their history is one of endless wars. As time went by more and more men became involved in the never ending series of military conflicts. Eventually the only occupation the men concerned themselves with was that of being a warrior. As a result the women had to perform every single other job and occupation.
Eventually the women became more intelligent and for the first time in their history they started the slow climb towards industrialization. This continued for almost 500 years. At this time they had advanced to a post industrial state. Unfortunately the scale and scope of the wars had increased and the women had, had enough.
Using advanced biogenetics they created a virus that they hoped would eliminate the very strong natural tendency towards aggression among the males. It worked but unfortunately activated a passive genetic tendency towards aggression among the women. Fortunately unlike the males the women were intelligent enough to be able to control this new aggressive side of them selves.
Over the next 500 years the males took over doing all the physical work while the females continued to be doctors, scientists and engineers. They used physical exercise, sports and athletic competitions as a means of dealing with their new aggressive side.
In ???? they were invaded by the ?????. With no standing military and almost no weapons they were quickly conquered. However the invaders considered the males no threat and never even considered the possibility that the women might fight back. They were wrong. In a daring and well planned uprising the enemy were defeated and almost wiped out. They never had a chance to send a distress signal and the Yahvelan females immediately started to reverse engineer the captured tech.
Once they understood and in a few cases had improved on the captured tech they started to mass produce their own weapons and ships. When a relief fleet arrived to find out why all contact had been lost with the invaders they were easily defeated and wiped out.
Since that day every female has been some form of military officer and the males perform all the heavy labor. Any military jobs that the individual performing it might be considered expendable such as infantry is still performed by males.
Government
They have a military dictatorship where the senior female in any given situation is in command and gives the orders. Every single female in their society has some form of military rank. Advancement is based on performance and ability.
They have formed treaties with a few less advanced species. In return for protection they supply various resources. These worlds and the few colonies they have started up all fall with in their sphere of influence. As a result they call their area of space the Yahvelan Protectorate.
Description
The females are on average about 6’1” to 6’5”. They tend to be slim with very athletic and well muscled bodies. They have pale blue to aquamarine skin tones and all shades of green eyes. They grow their hair long and tend to braid it into a single braid. Their hair color tends to be darker shades of blue, right up to pure black. They usually wear either casual robes of pastel colors or their military uniform which has knee high boots, a short skirt and reinforced bodice. Their shoulders, arms and upper chests are always bare. Weapons usually include a couple throwing knives, a peculiar sword, energy pistol and a short whip.
The males on the other hand tend to be shorter and more muscle bound. They tend to be 5’6 to 6’. They have thick legs and arms as well as a deep chest and powerful shoulder muscles. Males never wear anything above the waist. Their hair is always cut very short. They usually wear either boots and work resistant pants or boots and a short kilt of gray fabric.
Physiology
Like most typical humanoids they have a complex physiology. On the whole females tend to be twice as strong as the average human male and the males are almost 3 times as strong. The females are also more limber with the grace of a trained gymnast. The males are slower and lack any grace and some maneuverability due to their muscle bound natures.
Psychology
Females tend to be intelligent, aggressive and goal oriented. Males tend to be submissive and eager to serve. As a species they are fairly stable but both males and females have been known to suddenly lose control and go berserk. Fortunately this is a rare occurrence.
Religion
They never developed any form of religion.
Mythology
Various individuals from their past have earned the right to be remembered for their deeds. Foremost among them is Veluria who was the female who created the virus that altered their world forever.
Society
It is a military society with the women in control. The males make up a second lower level of society. One that very rarely interacts with the females except to be given new orders or assigned to new tasks.
Culture
The females enjoy music, art and a number of other activities including physical competitions. The males enjoy less sophisticated music, drinking and wrestling.
Customs
Males are treated like possessions. They can be traded, bought, sold or as is more often the case won or lost based on the outcome of some physical competition. Very rarely does a female form any kind of attachment to her males.
Technology
Not as advanced as most Federation member worlds.
Economy
Fairly self sufficient.
Military
Every single spaceship they own is a warship. Even their freighters.
Federation Intelligence Files
Unknown at this time.
