This template takes an image for a permitted species and adds a border around it so that it can be displayed in a similar fashion as a gallery image with the added benefit that the image now links directly to the species and not to the image itself!
Normally, you could link an image directly by using the link= parameter as explained here, but the gallery format of the SB118 wiki currently does not support this feature.
How to Use This Template:

Remember, this particular template is for permitted species of the Intelligent Lifeform Index.
- For restricted species, use the Template:ILI-R template.
- For forbidden species, use the Template:ILI-F template.
