The '''Halloween Avatar Contest''' is a once-yearly event, held in October. Ships that choose to participate choose a theme (like "Pirates") and assign a character to each player. Each player then uploads a new avatar onto the forums that corresponds with this theme. Each team is judged on originality and design quality of their avatars.
