Upon entering medical college on Earth, Marcus excelled in his academic fields and having shown little interest in oursuing membership of a sporting team, performed adequately in the physical aspects of the curriculum. As part of maintaining his health he regularly exercised and showed an interest in martial arts for which he found the mental and physical discipline useful. During higher education Marcus excelled in his studies, ultimately qualifying with honours from medical school 2 years early and immediately he applied to starfleet academy specialising in xenobiology, genetics and the treatment of exotic diseases. | |||
