D'Cyra of Varati (pronounced like "Syrah", the french grapes) was born on 237606.12 in Taggo-Lar on Orion (Rigel III) as third child of the Varati-Sinno family. Her mother's family were mostly merchants. There may have been links to the syndicate, but the family was always careful to remain neutral. The Varati family was also keen to remain neutral, as they had served as counsels to the most influential clans (Caju) for generations. | |||
She grew up as the youngest daughter, her older brother followed in his father's footsteps early on as a lawyer, albeit for a company. She has a deep bond with her brother. On more than one occasion, he has used his skills to help her out of difficult situations that she didn't want her parents to know about. | |||
Unintentionally crossing paths with the syndicate was not a good idea, however. It was only thanks to her brother's interventions and her family's high reputation that they got away scot-free. But she was smart enough to stay out of the line of fire. However, the desire to explore worlds remained. With the support of her family, she therefore decided to join the starfleet, but not before embarking on an extensive round trip from star to star. | |||

As an Orion, it had not always been easy for her after the fight against the syndicate.
