Charles was one of the first people she met on the ship and initially, Sevantha wasn't sure what to make of him and she was sure he felt similar in regards to her. Due to his brief death in Frontier Day and Sevantha being the responding Doctor to helping revive him and calling to him psychically, the two have developed a bond. The two have shared similar loss and grief as well as emotional struggles which makes him easy to relate to now, especially since he doesn’t take issue with talking to her telepathically with him when she struggles to express herself.
