Tikk was in good hands, and while Yinn knew she was loved, she wouldn't be missed. Take a bucket of water out of the ocean, and the ocean isn't lessened for it. Pour that water into a lake, the water becomes the lake. She'd go back to Bolarus and her family one day. But for now she was where she needed to be. Part of the lake. Starfleet would be her family, and together they'd explore the stars as she always dreamed she would. | Tikk was in good hands, and while Yinn knew she was loved, she wouldn't be missed. After a brief stint in the science lab of the USS <i>'Oumuamua</i>, Yinn was transferred, along with most of that ship's crew, to the USS <i>Octavia E. Butler</i>. After experimenting with leaves from the planet Chey'dalanga that seemed to enable telepathy, she and a Klingon ensign named Qurgh'Loq (who had eaten an inadvisable quantity of the leaves) had their minds entangled on a quantum level, effectively rendering them one person in two bodies. They took the full name Qurgh'Loq Yinn, and continue to perform their duties in both the Science Division and Federation Diplomatic Corps. | |||
