Alieth's origins are obscure, and she changes her story every time she is questioned about it: runaway from Vulcan for following customs abhorrent to Vulcan society, raised on a now defunct desert colony in the DMZ near the Cardassian border, a space nomad raised among pillagers and smugglers. 
 
Be that as it may, she never hid her membership in the Te-Vikram Brotherhood, wearing her archetypal red garments and carrying a curved damascened dagger as her only weapon.
 
She joined the crew of the Skarberk a few weeks ago, after a discussion with Brusing that was kept private. All she ever said about her motivation for joining was a sort of mantra: "For we lived as slaves until we made ourselves free"
 
Professional, resourceful and somewhat volatile once her dagger has been drawn, she is a specialist in what she calls "creative chemistry", being able to create an explosive out of almost anything.
