Eriddu was born after the dominion war when his parents could finally live together on Bajor. His mother was part of Bajoran militia, having fought during the occupation and the Dominion war. When he was eleven years old his mother was reported missing in action, and his life had an unexpected twist. At that time his father was an archeologist and had just departed on a mission, deep on gamma quadrant territory, a few weeks prior to the incident with his mother. This sequence of events culminated with Eriddu moving to live with his uncle Gen'do, a Prylar, on a Bajoran retreat on New Bajor. Suffice to say that a life as a novice had a tremendous impact on Eriddu's personality, and he just left the retreat when his father accepted a chair on starfleet academy to teach archeology as an civilian expert. Life on Earth was not easy and his father was sometimes more demanding than a Vedek. But soon he realized that as his father he had a talent for science and exploration. Joining Starfleet was a natural choice that allowed him to combine science with a disciplined lifestyle he grew used to, despite the disagreements with his father.
