:Kteer was born in a Capital City of J'naii. In nir childhood, ne never questioned their attitude towards gender. | |||
:In the year 2387 (age 19), while studying astrophysics at J'naii Academy of Science, ne encountered a group of Starfleet scientists visiting nir home planet researching Null Space first discovered by the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in 2368. After spending months with those scientists who identify themselves with either male or female gender, ne grew less and less wary of those with genders. As a result, ne started to question J'naii's policy toward a person with gender. However, for fear of punishment as a deviant criminal against state policy, ne could never openly express nir opinion while ne was on nir homeworld. Because of this fear, he became passive and fearful of everything. Ne wanted to shake off such traits by removing nimself from the world that limits nir future possibilities. | |||
:Kteer wasn’t considered as an outcast like Soren seen in the episode “The Outcast” or Admiral Renos since ne never openly opposed J’naii’s policy against gender on nir homeworld; however, while keeping nir own gender neutrality, ne secretly started to support ones having a gender. Yet, after spending years helping those hiding from authorities, ne came to the conclusion that this society will never change without strong outside influence. So, after months of consideration, ne finally decided to leave J'naii upon graduation, dreaming of one day Joining the Starfleet. | |||
