Alex Williams in the son of a David Williams and Tobana Rox. his parants met at a diplomatic dinner at DS9. David was invited because of his involvement in the construction of the USS defiant and Toban was invited as a cleric for one of the Vedeks.

David and Tobana moved to Earth after their marriage at Bajor and settled in western Europe near the black forest. They live a simple life there and spend much time in the woods and mountains. As a child Alex and his siblings spend much time building all kinds of shelters and tree houses in the woods. Although his father was gone a lot -since he spend most of his time at the shipyards- Alexander had a good relationship with him. The two went on many adventurous locations for exploration and hunting. In the many nights in small self-build camps Alexander looked at the stars and wondered if he could ever explore the planets that were out there.

In his early twenties he decided to sign up for Starfleet. He signed up for security training but that didn't offer him all the satisfaction he was hoping for. Alexander took a break and moved to Bajor where he met his mothers former colleagues during the Gratitude Festival. In the debates with the vedeks he developed a strong interest in Bajoran religion and was invited to see the Orb of Prophecy and Change. The orb showed Alexander a conflict between a Federation ship and a Borg sphere. He could see security guards fighting an enemy that adapted to phasers in no time. It was then that Alexander realized his career was not security but tactical. He went back to Starfleet and finished his security training with ease. Then came to real challenge to start a career as tactical officer. During this training his parents moved to Hawaii to be closer to their son.

Alex loves to sing so he can often be found at karaoke bars during his shore-leave. If he is not singing he likes to drink a good Whiskey or play a round of darts. During his team at the academy he was captain of the European Darts team.

Like everyone else Alexander Williams started as a young ensign about the [[USS Apollo]]. During his first mission he was forced to deal with a rogue group that had taken the senior staff hostage at a hotel on the planet Izar. In an attempt to remove several explosives at the back entrance he was injured and had to be taken to hospital. Fortenetly the hostage situation was resolved and Alex, and his new crewmates could return to the Apollo.  

In the months that followed Alexander managed to make an impression on his fellow officers and when [[T'Mar]] took a transfer, Alex was offered the position of Chief Tactical and Security. He held that post until the Apollo got destroyed by the borg. Alex and his CO were one of the last man to leave the Apollo before she exploded. Most of Alex personal belongings where destroyed. The only thing that was salvaged by Starfleet was his bow.

After only 2 days transfer orders came and Alex was sent over the the USS Constitution. At the time he hated it, even though he got a promotion to Lt.Cmdr as well. The only good thing at the start was that he would contineu to serve under Commander Faranster. After a few weeks however Alex grow fond of the old Galaxy girl and made a lot of real friends for life.
