During this same shore leave, his family was joined by his former caretaker [[Naloor]] and his sister [[Parker, Stephanie]]. They were also gifted another starship, the Miranda CLass [[USS Bronwyn]], found adrift in the Sand Bar buy the Laudeans. Refit with the desire to crew the ship with both Laudeans and Starfleet personnell, and to give the Embassy added protection and as an escort ship for USS Thunder-A. The first mission with the Bronwyn took the ship back to prehistoric Duronis, where Hannibal was was swamped by a tidal wave, attacked by a flying hellcat and almost incinerated by lava flow. In the process of all that, he also save the life of his friend Tyr Waltas.
Later on in the mission, Hannibal, now back on board the Thunder, met his brutal alter ego in an alternate universe. Duronis had been changed...there was no Federation, only Earth and extremely aggressive Laudeans, to who Hannibal, Tyr, and Irina Pavlova worked for. Realizing they needed to get the Thunder back to their time and to stop the slaughter in the alternate universe, his friend [[T'Mihn Ah'mygahn]] performed a mind meld, in which he could communicate with his alter ego. She also performed the same with Tyr, and the bloodshed was halted. T'Mihn now has Hannibals' memories, and as a result of his injuries, she has taken Hannibal and his entire family into her clan, serving as their healer.
Hannibal was called to Earth at the behest of Starfleet Command, but when he arrived, he was informed by an admiral friend of his that they did not have his best interests at heart. Before they could tell him what impossible mission they had tabbed him for, he was recalled to Duronis due to an insurgent uprising. Upon returning, he took command of the USS Bronwyn, and with the help of [[Chang, Samantha]], defeated the enemy fleet before it could destroy the embassy.
